Naperville Senior Center Adult Day Services Post Pandemic Safeguards meet or exceed the State of Illinois Department of Public Health and Center For Disease Control Mandated Guidelines. Safety of our Members, their families and our staff is our continuing priority.

There is a risk involved anytime your loved one leaves home. We are doing all we can to ensure the risk is minimal.

While business was suspended for 111 days, Pam, Michelle and Mike scrubbed the walls, baseboards, bathrooms, kitchen, rugs and floors. Then we patched and painted cracks and holes in the walls, replaced stained ceiling tiles and polished the floor.

• We have purchased over $3,800 in sneeze guards, masks, hand sanitizer, signs and placards to ensure our policies are visible to Members, their families and our staff.
• Visitors will only be seen by appointment.
• We have a half dozen hand sanitizing stations throughout our community.

Out of an abundance of caution we continue to review and improve these guidelines as we move forward.

The policy we follow when Members arrive includes Temperature Screenings of Members and washing hands immediately at the bathroom sink.

Absolutely not. Everyone is eligible to attend.

• • We have had Members from 24 communities.
    • We have provided care for Members from the following 24 Illinois area(s): Aurora, Bolingbrook, Burr Ridge, Carol Stream, Darien, Downers Grove, Elmhurst, Glen Ellyn, Glendale Heights, Hinsdale, Lisle, Lombard, Montgomery, Naperville, North Aurora, Oak Brook, Oswego, Plainfield, Romeoville, Warrenville, Westmont, Wheaton, Winfield, Woodridge.

Naperville Senior Center will accept Members with mild to moderate cognitive challenges, but is not equipped to accept people with advanced dementia or advanced Alzheimer’s disease.

We provide care for people who require minimal assistance.

Naperville Senior Center is open Monday through Friday 7:30 am, to 5:30 pm (closed Saturday and Sunday).

The Senior Center will be closed in observance of the following holidays. The specific date for the Center closure is subject to the day of the week upon which the holiday falls:

• Naperville Senior Center pricing*: Full day rate is only $140. (That’s ONLY $14/hour!)
• Half day rate: only $95 for up to five hours. (Only $19/hour.)
  • Compared to Home Health costs of up to $32 (or more) an hour and NSC is truly a great value.
• Food and beverage is included in this fee for all members: hot noon-time meal and healthy snacks throughout the day.
• Other fees:
  • Shower/shampoo is $30.
  • Haircut/shampoo by appointment with outside contractor for about $30 + tip.
  • Hygienist weekly check up is on Mondays around 11:40am for $25.
  • Late pick-up fee is $30 for each portion of 10 minutes late.
• A minimum of two days per week and advance payment are required.

• Adults with cognitive or physical challenges who need a little help.
• Adults unable to stay home alone.
• Adults unable to drive who desire socialization.
• Adults who may require supervision during the day.
• Participants must be able to transfer with the assistance of no more than one person, and be able to feed themselves

We also plan to provide a caregiver support group meeting on the first and third Fridays from 9:30 to 10:45 am in our Quiet Room.

Mike Cooper is a Certified Caregiving Consultant specializing in the Six Stages of Caregiving.

Remember, our professional staff includes a Physical Therapist, Certified Nursing Assistants and Registered Nurses. Become a member now; when we have a waiting list, our rates are sure to increase.

• AEDs, CPR and first aid training

We have an emergency procedure in place if our facility must be evacuated.

Transportation will be provided if needed and available to your area for an additional modest fee. Transportation Members will need to be able to get into a passenger crossover vehicle with minimal assist. (Wheelchairs can be stored in the back and transported to the Center.)

We also have Members using public transport (Ride DuPage) as well as a private transporter (Golden Circle of Friends).

Naperville Senior Center has two vehicles for use on field trips.
